Refund & Returns Policy
At Old Mate Camping Co., we want you to love what you ordered. If something’s not right, we’re here to help.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Change of Mind Returns
We get it — sometimes things just don’t work out. If you change your mind, you can return your item within 30 days of delivery, provided:
- The item is unused and in its original condition
- It is returned in the original packaging
- You have proof of purchase (order confirmation email)
Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer’s cost. Once we receive and inspect the item, we’ll process your refund to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Please note: We do not offer change-of-mind returns on items that have been used, assembled, or returned without original packaging.
Faulty or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or is not as described, you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on whether the problem is major or minor, this may include:
- Major failure: You can choose a full refund or replacement. We will cover all return shipping costs.
- Minor failure: We will repair or replace the item free of charge. We will cover return shipping costs if a defect is confirmed.

1-Year Warranty
All Old Mate Camping Co. products are backed by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, fabric and material failure, and hardware failure (buckles, clips, and fasteners) under normal use conditions.

How to Make a Return
- Email us at hello@oldmatecampingco.com.au with your order number and reason for return
- We’ll get back to you within 2 business days with return instructions
- Pack the item securely and send it back to the address we provide
- Once received and inspected, your refund or replacement will be processed within 5–7 business days
