G'day, we're Old Mate Camping Co.

We're Aoife & Stef, and we're an Australian outdoor brand on a mission to make the great outdoors more comfortable, without lugging half your house out the door.

It started simply: we wanted a compact camping chair that was actually easy to carry. Not a flimsy fold-up that collapses under you, and not a fortress of steel tubing that takes up your whole boot. Something in between: lightweight, comfortable, and tough enough for the Australian bush.

The Old Mate Original was born from that idea. We road-tested it, argued about the colours (more than once), and only landed here when we were genuinely stoked with what we had.
